Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the maiden significant achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he once was, and would definitely think about extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
